In the wake of the October 7 tragedy, restaurants across Israel decided to close their kitchens in a show of solidarity for the Jewish people.
Inspired by the culinary landscape coming together in Israel, chef Elioz Cohen decided it was time for his L.A.-based restaurant to do the same. Basbussa Officially Kosher certified under RCC in December 2023.
The restaurant serves upscale Middle Eastern cuisine and specialty sushi rolls. Basabusa's most popular dishes are its skewers, which include Chilean sea bass, lamb chops, schnitzel and more. The menu also includes short ribs, shawarma or an assortment of tacos and flatbreads with vegetarian options.
Basabusa Israeli Drinks offers five signature cocktails inspired by high-end Israeli wines and bottle service is available for larger parties. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and is ideal for those looking for a kosher option for late nights.

Basabusa is located at 8338 W. Beverly Grove in Los Angeles, CA (between the Beverly Hills and La Brea neighborhoods). Located on 3rd St. and open Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6pm to 12am, Thursday from 6pm to 1:30am. and Saturday from 7 pm to 1:30 am. Kosher certification by RCC.
