Itzik BenabouThe owner of the largest chain of retail stores in Crown Heights has introduced its latest offering to the neighborhood: House of Glatt.
The House of Glatt, located on the corner of Kingston Avenue and Crown Street, has been in operation since 1977.

In 2018, it was purchase by Benabou, which operates Kingston Pizza and Kol Tuv grocery stores across the street, as well as Empire Kosher and The Marketplace supermarkets.
In keeping with its name recognition, Benabou kept the brand House of Glatt and planned to serve the same favorite cuts and takeout the store was known for.
The newly reopened House of Glatt has its own kitchen under the supervision of CHK Kosher and will use various recipes from Benabou’s other establishments, Collive was told.
The store had a soft opening this week and will expand its menu in the coming days. Benabou also plans to offer sandwiches such as deli and schnitzel sandwiches.
